Behold the captivating beauty of the vicinity when the first rays of the sun touch the sacred lands of this holy city. Experience “The Bhog Aarti” at Lord Shiva Temple. The architecture of the temple is noteworthy and is also known as the Golden Temple, because of the gold used in the making of the tall spire and the dome.

All devoted Hindus aspire to visit this site once before they die, for they believe that liberation from worldly thing can be achieved here. Visit Gyanvapi mosque constructed by the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb after he demolished the original Kashi Vishwanath temple at the site. The remnants of the Hindu temple can be seen on the walls of the Gyanvapi mosque. Notice the old Hindu temple wall mixed into the mosque Lunch at a local place.

Head towards Dashaswamedh Ghat. Come twilight, and the Ghat cannot be passed unnoticed as colourful umbrellas shelter the area and Pandits get ready with enormous, multi-tiered brass oil lamps and various offerings. The five Pandits who orchestrate the Aarti start to blow conch shells to mark the beginning. With the amount of work and enthusiasm that is put into the Aarti, it is hard to imagine that the same rite of worship takes place every day.
